Cendlos Through The Support of Commonwealth of Learning Has Held a 5-day Workshop to Develop Online Schools for TVET and CEA Respectively

The Government of Ghana and by extension the Ministry of Education (MOE) has made it a priority to expand and improve TVET and CEA education.

Correspondingly, the Center for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS) through the help of Commonwealth of Learning(COL) has strategically engaged stakeholders from the TVET and the CEA, for a 5-day residential workshop to identify areas where they can introduce technology to expand access with a sustained re-entry paths for every student regardless of their location or disadvantage.

In attendance was the lead consultant, sponsored by the commonwealth of learning in the person of Dr Elizabeth Owino from Kenya, who is very endowed in the creation of ebooks and the infusion of digital activities.

Also in attendance was the Director General of TVET Madam Mawusi, The National Stem advisor to the Minister of Education Prof Mark Adom-Asamoah, Dr Adu Manu Sarpong, and Mr Ernest Yirenkyi who are both consultants on the project, Mrs. Olivia Asare head of STEM education at GES, and reps from CEA and TVET .
