The Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS), previously known as The President’s Special Initiative on Distance Learning (PSI-DL), was established in 2002. Since 2003, CENDLOS and its public and private partners (teachers/lecturers/media institutions including NAFTI, Primetime Limited, Village Communications Limited and Akromah Productions Limited) have been involved in the production of audio-visual lessons as supplementary and complementary teaching and learning materials at the pre-tertiary level. The video lessons were telecast on GTV and intended to benefit students especially those from low-performing schools.
